I shot this portrait of a Berber tribesman with one of his camels in the Sahara Desert of Morocco with low angled sunlight. I used a small lens aperture -- f/18 -- to retain definition in the sand ripples to give this image a sense of context. The background isn't sharp, but if it had lost all defintion and been a complete blur, I think something would have been lost. The small aperture, though, forced the ISO to be 8000. With the Canon R5, though, that's not a problem. I didn't even have to use noise-reducing software here. I shot this with a 200mm focal length on a Canon 100-500mm zoom, and the mid-telephoto helped prevent a complete loss of detail in the sand as opposed to using, say, a 500mm focal length.
