My post yesterday showed a family of cheetahs on a Land Rover that was about 30 feet in front of my vehicle. The two pictures I've attached here show two of the cheetahs on my vehicle. For the one standing above me, I was sitting in the middle seat photographing through the hatch with a 24mm wide angle lens! I couldn't include the feet because I couldn't see them -- the lip of the hatch blocked them. Had I raised myself to include the feet, I would have been about 16 inches from the legs of the cheetah, and even I won't do something that reckless to improve an already dramatic image. These are wild cheetahs, and yet they interacted with us as if we were pals. I wish this experience would have been at or near sunrise or sunset because the light is not ideal. Nevertheless, it was simply remarkable to be this close to such beautiful cats.
