I photographed the model in yesterday’s post again for the image you see here, but this time it was on Burano Island, a half hour boat ride from Venice. I thought the colors worked perfectly, and I especially liked the contrast between Solange’s elegant costume and the weathered facade. Next to this building on the far left was a lime green house that didn’t look good with the color scheme in the rest of the image. Therefore, I created a corner that replaced the distracting and unattractive green. I did this in Photoshop by selecting the left side of the facade with the rectangular marquee tool, copied that to the clipboard with Edit > copy, and then pasted the selection into the photo with Edit > paste. I then used Edit > transform > flip horizontal and moved the layer into place with the move tool. These actions mirrored the architecture on the left side to create the corner.
