I took this picture in the same mosque in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan you saw in yesterday's post. This time, I lay on the floor directly under the center of the chandelier. It's important to be dead center to underscore the symmetry of the architecture and to prevent skewed graphic lines. Even with a 12mm focal length, and with the giant chandelier suspended about 8 feet above the floor, I couldn't include the entire periphery of the light fixture. Still, the graphic design was amazing with the ceiling decoration combining with the circular shape of the chandelier. My settings were 1/50, f/4, and 1600 ISO. With ultra wide lenses, you can get away with slower shutter speeds.
