The reason why a fast frame rate in a camera is important is because you can capture nuances in a moving subject that you'd never be able to see otherwise. On my India photo tours, when we go to Jaiselmer in the That Desert in Rajasthan, I hire men and camels to walk in front of the setting sun for dramatic silhouetted images. What defines the success of silhouettes is the graphic design of the subjects. The legs, tail, head, and neck have to be in an ideal position, and as the animals walk or run across the dunes, multiple frames per second will capture many poses. You then have many choices. In this shot, I like the way the head and neck of the camel are raised, how the legs are spread, and how one leg is crossing the sun. My settings were 1/2000, f/10, and 400 ISO. I used a 200mm focal length for the shot.
