Using an extreme wide angle lens very close to the subject is a unique look. It distorts, to be sure, but at the same time it exaggerates perspective in an artistic way. This street in Cuba was perfect for this technique because of the colors and lines of the buildings plus the very cool cars. I used a 14mm lens positioned about three feet from the rear end of the foreground car. I made sure not to include too much asphalt because large areas of asphalt or concrete in the foreground are never attractive.
