Since I received so much enthusiastic feedback from the picture of the giraffe at the front door of the Giraffe Manor, I wanted to share this image of two giraffes intending to join us for breakfast. After all, this IS a B & B! And I would think that muffins, jam, eggs, and fruit are more appetizing than those prickly thorn bushes they normally eat. I lost detail in the sky because it was more important to expose for the interior, but the humor of this situation isn't lost despite the contrast problem. My settings were 1/50, f/3.5, 1000 ISO, and I used a 16-35mm wide angle lens. I took this in 2007. Today I'd use a faster shutter speed and higher ISO. Even those this is sharp, 1/50th of a second with moving animals is not a good idea. I was trying to keep the ISO down because at that time noise was a bigger problem than it is today.
