A unique way to frame a picture is to place the horizon line very high in the frame. It's an unusual treatment, and it can only work if the foreground is beautiful, graphic, or compelling in some way. In addition, you need complete depth of field to make it work. On my Morocco photo tour, I arranged to have this camel train in the perfect position for my group. In addition to shooting it with a big sky (i.e. a low horizon), I got close to the dune and used a 24-105mm lens set to 24mm and aimed the camera downward. My settings were 1/500, f/14 (to make sure I had sufficient depth of field), and 400 ISO. I took the photograph hand held. My next Morocco photo tour will be in May, 2017.

Jim - Thank you, Ian. Yes, lots of leading lines. That's what attracted my eye.
