This is Aldeyjarfoss waterfall in northern Iceland. The sunset lighting was beautiful, and I used a 20 second exposure to blur the movement of the water. To reduce the light enough for such a long exposure, I used a lens aperture of f/14, an ISO of 125, and a 6-stop neutral density filter. I took this with a 16-35mm lens set to 35mm, daylight white balance (because AWB would eliminate the golden tones of the low angled sunlight), image stabilization turned off (because on a tripod it's not necessary and it drains the battery), and evaluative metering (i.e. matrix metering). I particularly liked the radiating lines created by the pounding of the falls on the water below and the tortured geology.

Maria - Every day I say “wow.” But I had to come back to this one. It is a Trpple WOW! I was there and it did not look as beautiful as this. Wonderful to see the world through your eyes.
