On one of my Indonesia photo tours, I arranged to photograph a young model dressed as a Javanese bride. Wedding styling is very unique and very exotic throughout Indonesia. Through my wife, who is Indonesian, I arranged for the clothes, the background set, and the model as well as the hand-sewn flower petals that make up the chest and head pieces the young lady is wearing. It took three women an entire day to make the floral designs. In post-processing, I changed the original colors as well as added a bit of diffusion to give this image an ethereal glow. This portrait was taken vertically, and to make it horizontal I mirrored both sides of the image using Image > canvas size. The camera settings for this image were f/5.6, 1/125, ISO 400, I used a 24-105mm lens, and I used a tripod.
