When I was in Kenya, my photo tour group was visiting a Masai village. I asked one of the tribesmen how accurate he was throwing his spear, and he told me about 30 meters -- 100 feet. I then asked him he would throw his spear for my camera, and I got down low to make him a silhouette against the sky. I liked the picture a lot, but the sky wasn't as dramatic as what I had in mind. So I replaced with sky in Photoshop and made the tribesman small in the frame to emphasize the sky. My settings for the tribesman were 1/160, f/6.3, and 200 ISO, and I photographed him with a 16-35mm wide angle.
