I am leading a private photo tour to the United Kingdom at the moment. On the first day of shooting, we visited the Painted Hall at the Royal Naval College in Greenwich. This cavernous room adorned with huge, masterful paintings was beautiful, but what caught my eye were several small tables placed in the center of the room, each with glass or mirror tops. By placing a wide angle lens on the glass, I was able to capture the most amazing reflections. I used a 14mm f/1.8 Sigma lens which increased the drama of the graphic composition. My settings were 1/80, f/1.8, and 1600 ISO. The enormous maximum aperture allowed me to keep the ISO down for excellent quality. I used daylight white balance.
