When photographing reflections, make sure you don't crop off too much of the watery image. It's very easy to focus your attention on the subject itself, and while you recognize the photographic potential of the reflection, in your haste you place the subject in the center of the frame. This will more than likely cut off the top of the subject (i.e. the bottom of the reflection). It's great when you can show the entire subject and its reflection, as I did with this wolf pup in the recent wildlife babies workshop. My settings for this shot were 1/640, f/10, 400 ISO, and I used the new Canon 100-400mm lens.
