Usually when I photograph wildlife in captivity I try to make the images look real. This is an exception. The two lynx kittens do look posed in the niche of the tree, and in fact in my babies workshop they were posed. But those two little faces are so cute that I wanted to show that. One of the reasons I like photographing animals in diffused light is because their eyes are wide open. In bright sunlight, animals -- like humans -- squint. With such beautiful eyes, we need to see all of that beautiful detail. The settings for this shot were 1/250, f/11, and 1000 ISO.

Jim - Thanks so much, Sylvia. There's nothing like puppies and kittens -- wild or otherwise.
