I visited Old Car City near Atlanta, Georgia yesterday and it was fantastic. Every picture I took was done with HDR to capture the full range of tonal values. Because the sky was very light and the shadows were several f/stops darker, I used three exposures in the bracketing sequence and a 3-f/stop incremental difference between them. The diffused light was ideal, and it made the colors of the rusting cars really stand out. A little embellishment of the color helped make the images pop, and I used a lot of wide angle perspectives to exaggerate the classic lines of the old cars. Everything was taken from a tripod, and I used complete depth of field -- f/22 -- for each picture.

Jim - You're welcome, Terry. I put up a lot more images from this place on my website last night. Here is a link if you'd like to see more. It was a lot of fun photographing these. I'm actually thinking of doing a workshop here including shooting at night so we can do painting with light.
