The most recognizable and iconic car from the 1950's is the famous '59 Cadillac with its huge tail fins. At one of the car shows I attended in Nashville, Tennesse, I photographed the most iconic Cadillac of them all -- a pink one. The original background was terrible, of course, so I used the pen tool in Photoshop to meticulously select the car, and then I composited it with a colorful row of houses I captured in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. The houses are part of Jellybean Row, a fun place to shoot. The problem was that none of the houses matched the car. So, using the pulldown menu command, Image > adjustments > hue/saturation, I tweaked the architecture to complement the color of the Cadillac.
