There is something comedic about frogs, or at least some of them. These rotund White's tree frogs cooperated for the camera, and the ring flash provided enveloping illumination that eliminated dark shadows especially on the ventral surface of the frogs. My settings were 1/200, f/32, and 640 ISO. I had to clone out the reflection of the flash in the eyes. The background is a 20 x 20 inch print of out of focus foliage. That means that no matter how small the lens aperture is and how extensive the depth of field, the background will always stay attractively out of focus.
