I rarely convert my photographs to black and white, but this shot seemed like it worked really well. These are kids of the Banna tribe in Ethiopia, and I took this angle while lying on the ground with a 16mm focal length. In converting to a monochromatic image, I used the Photoshop command Image > adjustments > black and white. This allowed me to manipulate each of the color tones. The result really looks like black and white infrared because I lightened the yellow and green tones of the vegetation while darkening the blue color in the sky. My settings were 1/160, f/9, and 400 ISO.
