I photographed the facade of this palace on the Grand Canal from the public water taxi. The fog persisted a second day, and I loved the moody and ethereal feeling it gave Venice. Of course, you never see costumed models standing in these classic locations, so I made it happen. I really liked the costumes this couple were wearing, so I photographed them from a low angle specifically to place them in a second story balcony. I then lowered their contrast so they matched the foggy architecture. I did that similar to what I did in yesterday's post -- I filled their selection with 30% white using Edit > fill. If I added more contrast to the picture, Photoshop would cut through the fog. Instead, I prefer the captivating mood the fog presents. My settings for the building shot were 1/250, f/4.0, and 100 ISO.
