This is the dramatic interior of Salisbury Cathedral in England. I used a 14mm ultra wide angle lens to capture the powerful gothic design. Construction on the main body of the 13th century cathedral was completed in 38 years which, at the time, was essentially warp speed. I used the reflection in the holy water as my immediate foreground, and the lens was only 4 inches or so from the surface of the water. I’ve cloned out a few people as well as blue partition ropes that detracted from the medieval architecture. I’ve also added quite a bit of color saturation to embellish the incandescent lighting. My settings were 1.3 seconds, f/22, and 800 ISO.
